Personal Statement

While moissanite has been considered as a diamond substitute or simulant, it is nevertheless a gemstone in its own right. Moissanite, cubic zirconia, and white sapphire are all gemstones that are commonly referred to as "diamond simulants." Cubic zirconia is frequently referred to as a manmade diamond. Each gemstone, however, has a completely distinct chemical makeup and physical structure than diamonds.
